Ushaw has many ways in which you can become a part of our family. Here we will list the various activities and groups we have available, in which anyone can get involved.
A new choir has come together to perform in our beautiful St Cuthbert's Chapel, and to revive and renew the musical tradition at Ushaw.

Ushaw is always looking for volunteers to help in a variety of different roles, from gardening and retail support to guides for our various tours and greeters for daily openings.

Ushaw is currently developing its cultural and heritage programme in order to enable more people to engage with the wonderful buildings and collections in its care. We rely on funding and donations to continue and expand our work, and all donations are very welcome.

Formed in 2016, The Friends of Ushaw group has the purpose of supporting the work of the Trustees, in partnership with Ushaw College, in maintaining, developing and enhancing the beautiful and historic chapels, buildings, gardens and grounds of Ushaw. Membership is now open to the public, and we urge anyone who loves Ushaw to join.
The St. Cuthbert’s Society, a registered charity in the UK, was initially founded on the 19th July 1854, 46 years after the first students walked from Crook Hall to their new home at Ushaw. St Cuthbert’s society continues to this day, and all those who have a special place in their heart for Ushaw are encouraged to apply for membership to the esteemed group, and further the development of our beautiful and historic college.
