Spirituality at Ushaw

Friday Mass

Mass will be said every Friday at 12.30pm in St. Cuthbert's Chapel by Ushaw's Chaplain, Canon Robert Spence.

All are welcome to attend. 

Please note that Canon Spence will be away on Friday 17th and Friday 24th May.  A Service of the Word and Communion will be held on these two Fridays in place of our usual Friday Mass.  

Every Friday, 12.30pm

Prayer Group

A contemplative prayer group meets at Ushaw between 2pm and 3pm on the first and third Fridays of the month.

May Devotions

Starting Friday 3rd May, there will be May Devotions at 12pm in Ushaw's beautiful Lady Chapel, designed by Augustus Pugin in the 1840s.  

Each Friday, May Devotions will be led by Canon Spence or by one of the Ushaw team.  The Lady Chapel will also be available at noon every day during May for anyone who wishes to say the Rosary.  All are welcome to attend.  

Day of prayer and reflection at Ushaw

Led by Sister Rosarie Spence RSM. Experience different ways of praying, and an opportunity to step aside and enjoy the beauty of the surroundings.

£10.00 per person, including coffee, tea and biscuits served on arrival from 10.30am - 11.00am, and at the end of the day. 
Lunch is not provided, but there is a delicious range of food available in the Refectory.
