We are once again inviting County Durham artists and makers to contribute to our Christmas selling exhibition in the William Allen Gallery at Ushaw.
Submissions can be made in all mediums including ceramics, digital, drawing, glass, mixed media, painting, photography and sculpture and are invited from artists who live, work or study in County Durham.
-Artists can submit up to 3 artworks to exhibit (we will endeavour to display at least two works from each artist)
-Due to space limitations, 2D artworks including frames must not exceed 80cm x 80cm
-All 2D work must be fitted with picture wire for hanging
-All work must be labelled on the reverse with artist name and title only (please do not include the price of the work on the label)
-A separate luggage label must be attached to the reverse, which can hang below the artwork with the same information (but not the price)
-All works submitted must be for sale. Please include on the submission form the price you wish to receive for each of your works. Ushaw will add 20% commission + VAT on the commission element on to your price which will help to support our running costs. For example, if you price a work at £100 the work will be offered for sale at £124.
-Please submit an invoice for any sold works via email - firstname.lastname@example.org - at the end of the exhibition. Include your bank account number and sort code as payment will be made via bank transfer.
-Copies of other artist’s work are not permissible. Original artworks only.
-Artworks will need to be brought to Ushaw on Monday 18 November between 10am and4pm.
-Unsold works may be collected from Ushaw from 21st December onwards (please note, the venue will be closed during Christmas week) Please complete the standard submission form available here or in person from Ushaw reception and return by 11th November to email@example.com.
