Ushaw can claim its history going as far back as the famous English College at Douai, France. After the French Revolution, and a resettlement back to their homeland of the Catholics who had been persecuted there, Ushaw College was born.
To learn more about some of the great alumni of Ushaw College, among whom sit war heroes and renowned poets such as Francis Thompson, who wrote the incredible 'Hound of Heaven'.
