The Ushaw Library

The Ushaw Library, houses one of the most comprehensive collections on Catholicism in the 18th Century, as well as first edition copies of books such as Charles Darwin's The Origin of Species, and Ulm Cosmographia, is open to visitors by appointment. 



Ushaw Library has an illustrious and rich history, dating back as far as the    English College at 

Douai in 1568. 



The Library has an amazingly broad range in topics and opinions. Including some first editions of famous books and medieval manuscripts.
